OFFICIAL NOTICE
NO WAKE DECLARATION

Date: April 16, 2026

Due to significant rainfall over the past 24–48 hours, water levels on local lakes have risen to unusually high levels. In order to protect shoreline property, prevent erosion, and ensure public safety, the Town of Burlington is hereby issuing a NO WAKE declaration for the following waterways:

• Browns Lake
• Bohners Lake

This declaration is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.

All watercraft operators are required to operate at slow, no-wake speeds while on these lakes. Compliance with this order is essential to minimize damage and maintain safe conditions for residents and visitors.

The Town will continue to monitor lake levels and conditions and will provide updates when the restriction is lifted.

We appreciate the cooperation of all residents and lake users.
