To make a payment by credit/debit card:
Traffic or Ordinance Violations:
Citations can be paid by mail, drop box, online (link below) or in person.
Payment methods accepted are cash (exact amount), check, money order, or online with a debit/credit card.
Town Parking Violations Only:
Tickets can be paid for by mail, drop box, or in person.
Initial issuance of ticket is under general Parking ticket.
If the defendant wishes to contest the parking violation a Municipal Court Citation is issued with a Bond amount of $92.50.
If parking ticket is not paid your vehicle registration can be suspended.
Court procedures:
Initial appearances & pretrials are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month. Doors open at 5:00 PM and court starts promptly at 5:30 PM.
Hearings, trials and other court proceedings are assigned by the Court only.

How do I reopen a closed citation?
1. You must prepare a motion (letter) explaining the reasons why you believe or want this case/judgement to be reopened.
2. If the judge determines that there is a compelling reason to reopen the case a pre-trial date will be scheduled, and you will be notified via the US Mail from the Clerk of Courts.
How do I set up a payment plan?
1. Prepare a letter to the courts explaining that you need to set up a payment plan. The letter should be signed and dated and should include the following: citation number(s), your suggested monthly payment amount and all of your current contact information including your name, address, city, state and zip code.
2. You must include a down payment with the letter. This amount does not have to be the same as your suggested monthly payment.
3. Send your request to the Court Clerk at 32288 Bushnell Road, Burlington WI 53105.
Special Notes:
*You can mail in or drop off in drop box letter and down payment.
*This court doesn’t typically allow payment plans to extend past 6 months, please use this as a guideline for suggesting a monthly payment amount.
*Once the court receives your payment plan letter and down payment, you will receive a confirmation letter outlining the payment plan terms. Allow the court two (2) week to process your letter and down payment.
